Professor Olushola J. Saliu of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension as the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of the institution.
Professor O.J. Saliu was born in Aiyetoro-Gbede, Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State in 1961. He attended Demonstration Primary School, Odokoro-Gbede and Abdul AzeezAttah Memorial College, Okene.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc, Hons) and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Agricultural Extension Services from the University of Ibadan in 1986 and 1995 respectively. He also obtained a PhD in the same discipline from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, in 2010. Professor Saliu was a secondary school teacher for some years before joining the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, Prince AbubakarAudu University, Anyigba, in 2000.
He has taught and supervised students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has also published in reputable journals at the local and international levels, and attended numerous local and international conferences.
He has served as member and equally chaired several standing and ad-hoc committees of the University. He was Head, Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension (2012-2014), Director, Centre for Pre-Degree and Diploma Studies (2014-2019), and until his current appointment, he was the Director of Academic Planning and Development (AP&D).
A devout muslim, Professor O.J. Saliu is married with children.
