Dr Daniel F. Atidoga, an Associate Professor, of the Department of Public Law of the institution has been appointed as the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic).
Dr. D.F. Atidoga, the new Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) who hails from Anyigba, in Dekina Local Government Area, Kogi state, was born in Kaduna, Kaduna State in 1975.
He attended GRA, LEA Primary School, Zaria; Basawa Teachers College, Zaria; and Alhuda-Huda College where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate, Junior School Certificate and Senior School Certificate, respectively.
He obtained LLB (Hons) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2002, and was called to Bar in 2003. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from UsmanuDanfodio University, Sokoto, in 2009, and a Master of Law (LLM) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2010. In 2015, DrAtidoga obtained a PhD in Law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Dr. Atidoga, an Associate Professor, has undergone several capacity building programmes in International Criminal Law and Global Affairs, Educational Leadership and Management and Criminal Law and Criminology which he passed with excellent grades.
He has published numerous articles in reputable local and international journals, in addition to contributing chapters in edited law books. He has also authored a book, The Law of Rape (2010), published by VDM Publishing House, Germany.
He has served as secretary and member to many editorial boards. He is a member of Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT), International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) and European Society of International Law (ESIL).
Dr. Atidoga, who is a visiting scholar to the University of The Gambia, has supervised internal and external examinations at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He is married with children.
