Professor Abdulkadir Assumes Duty as 4th Vice Chancellor of KSU
Professor Mohammed Sanni Abdulkadir has assumed duties as the 4th Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Anyigba.
This follows his appointment by His Excellency, the Governor of Kogi State and Visitor to the University, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada.
Until his appointment, Professor Abdulkadir was a Professor of Economic History at the Bayero University, Kano.
While taking over from the immediate-past Vice Chancellor, Professor Hassan S. Isah, the new Vice Chancellor called for teamwork, promising to run inclusive and consultative administration.
He described himself as a tree that needs the support of others to make a forest.
Professor Abdulkadir called for sincere and honest advice, saying that he was willing and ready to throw his door open to such pieces of advice.
The Vice Chancellor called on all stakeholders to join hands with him in moving the University forward.
Earlier, at a brief handover ceremony, the immediate-past Vice Chancellor, Professor Hassan S. Isah, had introduced the new Vice Chancellor to the Principal Officers and key office aides, and urged them to extend their full support to the new helmsman.
Professor Isah thanked them for the support and co-operation he enjoyed while serving as Vice Chancellor.
Both the new and former Vice Chancellors later held a closed door meeting during which the handing over and taking over formality was completed.
